Scripture Lesson: Galatians 3:26-29
On this date in 1973, Sylvia Pressler, a learning examiner for the New Jersey Civil Rights Division makes a ruling which leads to the admittance of girls into Little League Baseball making the Garden State the first to allow girls to play on Little League Baseball Teams. Prior to that decision, regulations had been in place that had prohibited girls from playing with boys in the program.
In our Scripture lesson today, Paul reminds us that in the eyes of God there is no difference in Jew or Greek, slave or free, male nor female. For we are all one in Christ Jesus, who gave His life for each of us on the cross! What a blessing to realize it does not matter the color of our skin, the economic status we live in or our gender in His eyes! We are all the same and the rights of all should be equal! I am so glad that God loves us all and the sacrifice of His Son for our sins saves ALL humanity!
1. How does thes verses make you feel?
2. How reassuring is it that God’s love is for all?
3. How can we share that kind of unconditional love to others today?
May we love the world and its people just like our Heavenly Father! When we all do that this world will indeed be a better place to live!
