Scripture Lesson: Hebrews 13:15-16
At the Rules Committee meeting in 1953 the sacrifice fly rule was re-established. This rule which credits a batter with a RBI who flies out driving in a run without charging the batter a time at bat was dropped in 1939.
The writer of Hebrews reminds us to offer to God a “sacrifice of praise” by confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior. We are also reminded to do good and to share with others. When we sacrifice to do that, God is pleased with us. It comes down to living our faith by showing others Jesus by what we say and what we do!
1. How can we show God a “sacrifice of praise”?
2. Why is it important that people see the evidence of our confession in the way we live our lives?
3. How can we please God?
What a great day it will be for us when we please God by professing His Son and living like His Son!
