November 21-Enough Done?
Scripture Lesson: Haggai 1:2-11
On this date in 2009, the Mets in response to the fan’s displeasure that little was done to commemorate the team’s past in their new home Citi Field, announce the VIP entrance will be named for the three Mets whose numbers are retired, Gil Hodges, Tom Seaver, and Casey Stengel as well as naming the bridge that comes over to the stadium the Shea Bridge in honor of William Shea who brought National League Baseball back to New York City.
In our Scripture lesson today the prophet Haggai is letting the people know of God’s displeasure in them. They had returned from the exile and went straight to getting their homes in order. The people let God’s house remain in ruin. The people did not have their priorities in order! Often times we want everything in our lives to be in order and we neglect the things of God. We are poor stewards of our time and energy. God deserves our best in service to Him!
1. How much time do we give to God to serve Him?
2. What are the priorities of our life?
3. What does God deserve from us?
Have we done enough to serve God and live for Him? Just remember what God has done for us!
