Scripture Lesson:  2 Corinthians 5:6-10

On this date in 1964 the Braves sign a 25 year lease to play in the newly constructed Atlanta Stadium and they play there until the team moves next door to Turner Field in 2007. The park will be known as Atlanta Fulton County Stadium in 1975.

Paul reminds us today that when we are at home in our bodies we are away from the Lord. We are to live our lives by faith not sight. Our goal in life should be to please the Lord until the day we are with Him in heaven. Today we get so caught up in our own lives we neglect often times to live our lives to please Him. Paul also reminds us in these verses the folly of living that way because some day we will all have to answer to God, just how we lived our lives!

1.      What does it mean to live a live pleasing to the Lord?
2.      How can we do that on a daily basis?
3.      What does it mean to live by faith not sight?

There is an old saying, “Home is where the heart is”. For us to live happy and pleasing lives before the Master, we must live for Him daily giving Him our hearts and lives. That home with Christ is where our hearts should be daily!
