May 30: For All

Scripture Lesson: Galatians 3:26-28

On this date in 1943, with games played in Rockford, Illinois and Racine, Wisconsin, the All American Girl’s Professional League began the first season of its 12-year existence. The original league, which also included the war production cities of Kenosha, Wisconsin and South Bend, Indiana, drew 176,612 baseball fans during the league’s inaugural season.

In our Scripture for today, Paul wants us to see that we are all the same in Jesus. Once we become believers, it does not matter what our age, our gender, or our nationality are because we are all one in Him. Jesus and the Gospel are for all – no matter what one’s social status or gender might be. Just as baseball is a game for all, the Gospel is for all. We cannot rest until every man, woman, boy, and girl have heard about the good news of Jesus Christ.

  1. What unites all believers?

  2. Why is the Gospel for all?

  3. How can we make sure the Gospel is heard by all?

Through the movie, “A League of Their Own,” we were introduced to the Women’s Professional League. Through the Gospel, we are introduced to Jesus Christ the Savior of all.
