July 13: Time
Scripture Lesson: Hosea 10:12
On this date in 1972, the Cardinals wasted no time in blanking the Braves 2-0 behind the two-hit performance of Reggie Cleveland at Busch Stadium. The contest, which lasted only 93 minutes, was the quickest nine-inning game in Cardinal history.
Our Scripture verse from the prophet Hosea is also short but power-packed! Hosea calls us to sow righteousness in our lives, and to reap unfailing love. It is time, he says, to “seek the Lord until He comes.” Hosea’s call for us today is to live lives of right living that will indeed produce love for the world to see. In order for that to become a reality, we must seek the Lord. We can’t possibly live righteous lives without seeking Him daily. One of the great attributes of God is He always has time for us and seeks for us to have a personal relationship with Him. When we seek God, we will find Him. For our lives to reach their full potential for God, simply put, we have to spend time with God seeking His will for our lives.
How often should we seek God?
What does it mean to you to seek God?
What will our lives look like if we seek Him and live lives of righteousness?
The more we seek the Lord and have a personal, vital, living relationship with Him, the more we will live our lives like Him. The time is now to seek the Lord.
