Josh Rebandt will be the Head Coach for the Niagara Power Summer Collegiate Baseball Team this summer. This will be his fourth season in Niagara Falls. Josh pitched for the Power in his first two seasons and he coached the pitchers last year when Niagara won the New York Collegiate Baseball League’s Western Division, falling to the Eastern Division champions in the last game of the Championship Series. Coach Rebandt led a pitching staff that had the lowest ERA in the NYCBL, producing three NYCBL All Stars, two NYCBL 1st Team members, and the NYCBL Pitcher of the Year.
Regarding the upcoming 2013 season, General Manager Cal Kern said, “We are thrilled to have Josh return to Niagara. He is extremely competent to lead the Power and he is very committed to the spiritual back bone of this FCA team. He will lead “The Bolts” with passion and humility. I’m confident we will have a very competitive team this summer. Josh has been very involved in the recruiting process and I know he will be a great leader.”
Coach Rebandt is currently in his second season as the head coach at Clearwater Christian College in Clearwater, Florida. CCC ended their 2012 season at the NCCAA Regional tournament in Toccoa Falls last April. Rebandt picked up his first career coaching win on February 2, 2012 against Northwood University.
As a player, Josh has been part of a State Championship Runner-Up in 2005, an NCAA DIII College World Series Team in 2008, a National American Semi Pro World Series Championship Team where he was named the MVP in 2008, and an NCCAA DII College World Series Team that lost in the National Championship game in 2011.
Josh is the youngest of four children in his family. His oldest brother, Adam, played professionally in Australia for one season. His parents Ralph and Carol Rebandt live in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Josh resides in Clearwater, Florida.
