Scripture Lesson: Psalm 30:10-12
Today is the birthday of former Atlanta Braves mascot Chief Nocahoma. He was well known for leading the Braves out of the dugout before each home game and doing a war dance around the pitcher’s mound before sprinting to his teepee located past the left centerfield fence. Nocahoma would come out of his teepee with every Braves home run.
The Psalmist talks about the provision of God that turns wailing into dancing! God can and will restore the joy in our lives after we have gone through some tough times. When God brings a “dancing” kind of joy into our lives we should thank Him and praise Him. The joy of our faith should be as evident to the world around us as the color of our hair!! People need to see the joy of our faith!
1. How do you best praise God for all he does for you?
2. Why is it important for the world to see the joy of our faith?
3. Take time right now to praise His Holy Name!
Maybe it is time to put on our spiritual dancing shoes and praise our Loving Heavenly Father!
