Scripture Lesson: Philippians 2:14-16

On this date in 1952 Bob Elliot of the Giants is tossed from the Cardinal game protesting a strike two call and his replacement Bobby Hoffman is also thrown out for arguing the third strike call of the same at bat.

Paul is writing to the church at Philippi, a church he really loves, some very sound advice. He tells them to do everything without complaining and arguing. This advice is so that the people will remain blameless and pure. Also Paul gives this advice for the church to follow so he would not have labored among them for nothing. Arguing accomplishes nothing and only brings about ill feelings and bad consequences. So the next time we feel as if we must argue, remember the words of Paul and let’s go through life without arguing and complaining.

1. How do you feel when you argue?

2. Why is it important not to complain or argue as you go through life?

3. What are some of the bad consequences that can arise from arguing and complaining?

Let us all reassess our lives to see just how much we argue and complain.

Hey Elizabeth! Thanks so much for shooting our wedindg! Of all the vendors/individuals we hired to make our wedindg happen, I am happiest with our decision in choosing you! I felt like you really cared about us as people and about making our photos great! You were so easy and fun to work with, so down to earth, and I love how our photos turned out! Someday when we're old and wrinkly, we'll have these beautiful photos to remind us of our wedindg day and to show our future kids and grandkids . Thanks so much!!
